What I have found to be pleasantly surprising is that, in the last minutes of cardio, when I think I am completely spent, God gives me the energy to push through. But not just to finish the class, but to do it with more conviction and drive in those last minutes than in all the preceding time. When we do "knee repeaters," I feel like I'm reaching up into the heavens and pulling down the capability to get through each next punch and kick. I love that He pours it on right at the end, so I can finish strong and feel great about that hour.
This week I learned that my schedule is going to be speeding up more, with some new opportunities and challenges. I'm going to have to be more disciplined about making wise choices and expending energy at the right times and places. (Like maybe not writing a blog when I have a pile of cleaning to do...choices like that.) I can't wait to see how God leads me through these next several weeks, and I'm counting on His power and wisdom to make it work. I'm confident that He has a plan and am praying Colossians 1:9-11, which says, "We ask God to give you complete knowledge of His will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better. We also pray that you will be strengthened with all His glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need."
I figure if I'm going to be racing all the way to 50, I'm gonna round third base full speed and dive into home headfirst. Should be fun and tough and exhausting and exhilarating, and all at Turbo speed. Love it!
