So, I've got Teen-Girl wrapping up middle school, including one semester of online school, a 5th grader who graduated to middle school, and a 3rd grader who is pretty much just graduating to more silliness. They have all had awesome years and challenging times, in different and interesting (to me) ways. Katie has learned the limits of her introversion after several months of schooling without friends. Ellen has been schooled in girl-drama and friendships, so she's better prepared for the roller coaster of crazy that awaits her in middle school. Sadie had her toughest teacher yet this year, and she may have learned the difficult lesson that charm and goofiness can take you a long way, but it doesn't work on absolutely everyone, every single time.
I'm not sure exactly why it's important to TG to have me write a blahg, but here are a few possible reasons:
1. Perhaps she thinks if I share my unasked-for opinions in a blahg, I'll be less likely to bore her with them.
2. She is seeking tech-central means of connecting with her ancient mother.
3. She wants to move me off of Facebook so much.
4. In desperation, she clings to the hope that something, something will make me the least bit cool or hipster. (No, that can't be - surely she knows better than that!)
But whatever the reason, her heart or her (Doctor Who) shoes, I'll try to keep writing and not hating the Whos who may not appreciate my wit, humor, or lack of both. If nothing else, it will be an adventure, and I am always up for those. Enjoy! (or not - I don't want to be pushy here. That's my mom job.)
